  • This event takes place 12/06/2019 18:00

Summer Serenade Wednesday 12th June 6.00pm

This year our summer concert is on Wednesday 12th June 6.00pm. The evening will be in three parts of about 20 minutes each starting at 6pm.  The main concert will be held in the hall but there will also be additional musical items in the quad where refreshments will be served.

    • Wind band

    • Monday Wind Group

    • Monday Night Orchestra

    • Alameda Strings

    • Early Birds

    • Brass Group

    • Choir

    • Mr Probert ‘s Rock group

    • individually notified pupil soloists and groups not mentioned above

All the above groups will be taking part in the Summer Serenade.  It is very important all members of the groups attend so please let us know if there is a problem.

Tickets are priced at £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for children. Please ask your child to bring an envelope with the money in ( name, form and  ticket requirements on the front) to the finance office at anytime from Monday  3rd June (NOT through registers please). There is no fixed limit to the number of tickets on sale so please bring your family (young children welcome!) and friends. We will be organising refreshments to purchase during the evening.

All performers should arrive by 5.45pm.  Instrumentalists should take their instruments to the music room. Pupils will be able to listen to the other items or be with their parents until their performance. As the concert is in three parts, all pupils both playing and singing should note which parts they are in and return to the music room when the bell rings for the start of the section (there are no intervals).  School uniform should be worn and pupils may bring a non fizzy drink.

We would be delighted to welcome everyone to our concert which promises to be a fantastic evening.

    Mrs Cartwright and Mrs Eames.

    Subject Leaders for Music.
